Having spent a number of years as a criminal trial prosecutor in Alberta, Sara is no stranger to the challenges faced every day by those navigating the criminal justice system. The resource constraints made it increasingly unrealistic for her and other lawyers to provide adequate support to witnesses, victims, and their families, despite an obvious gap in this much needed service. The justice system is notorious for its inaccessibility and the courtroom is a daunting place for all of its participants. Recognizing the importance of this gap in the services available to Canadians navigating a confusing and stressful system, Sara decided to leave her courtroom practice behind to dedicate her time, without external limitations, to really helping those who need it.
Hiring someone who has firsthand experience navigating the system means having in-depth and real-world knowledge at your fingertips.
We really care about helping you. It's an intimidating system and we don't want you to have to figure it out alone.
You feel comfortable! We understand that being able to talk openly to someone you hire is of the utmost importance.
I can't promise it'll be easy, but I can promise that I will do everything I can to provide the support you need to navigate the system with clarity and confidence.
